ok so...

loved the synths and the song had a really great feel. The high octave synths really fit the title. Very crystaline sounding. Not a big fan of people using premade breakbeats, but whatev not gonna hate for that. This definitely reminds of something out of like F-zero or something, very video game feel to it. Good job overall though. Next time try making your own drums loops.

Fluiquid responds:

Thanks for the good score.
I'm gonna try making a good tune without premade breaks, I am also planning on making ambience.

Awesome job

Great job with the remix. Still a powerful song, but you mellowed it out, which was pretty dangerous, but I have to say you pulled it of quite well. Still a bigger fan of the original, but like I said this was a fantastic remix. I liked when the song cut to leave in the phased vocals a lot too. That was pretty cool. My favorite part is when that really intense lead comes in around 4:10ish. Anyway great job once again.

Ya I tend to take my chances...lol ;)

Thanks for the support!

Nice job bro

Gotta say you really pulled it off here. For like the first 17 seconds I was like...uh this doesn't sound very video gamey...but then when the melody line came in I heard it and I have to say, I really like this track, like a lot. It has a great beat and you did a fantastic job with the melody line. I could definitely picture this in a neat shooter type game or it would be great as a title song too. Good job buddy! I await on your next one now.

Thanks dude, I thought I do more parts but that would ruin the whole theme so I stopped it at the fade. Thanks for the high score and beleive me you won't be waiting long :D

oh wow

Damn bro...this was an intense piece. Excellent job with the mastering btw way. The production quality of this is just fantastic. This is an extremely versatile piece and I honestly can't find a single thing to nit-pic. All of your synth's sound great. The drums are good too which is usually what makes or breaks a song for me. Great melody and harmony lines too. I love when the bass would drive the song and the kick would just stay in...it just hooked me right there. Jesus Christ and then the middle of the song with the piano...uh I fucking loved this to say the least. Extremely well done. Gotta say this is probably...fuck that my favorite song on NG now. Move over Paragon X9. Dude once more ppl here this...this shit is so hot its gonna fucking blow up. Awesome job dude. Please keep it up I would love to here more like this.

5 out of mother fucking 5!

I'm really glad you like it, this is an excellent review! :)

In all my prior works I mostly used presets that came on some of the plug-ins such as Sytrus and z3ta+, but now I pretty much make all my sounds with 3xOsc, less load on the PC as well as more room for expansion.

I've been working on a few remixes recently, so look into that at a later time. :D

Once again, thanks for the awesome review, I wish more people like you existed out there. XD

Ok...so lets get down to business

I like the melody line you came up with and I like the way the song comes in...once the bass kicker comes in though I couldn't dig it anymore. The kick felt too hollow. For a song like this I'm feeling a hard kick or definitely something sharper than what you have. Also the drums kind of let me down. I expected a nice intense drum track but the trips on the ride weren't doing it for me either. And you should keep the snare in it. Try experimenting with using a sharper kick and an open hi-hat instead of a ride and see how that sounds. Good idea here, but the percussion needs some work.

UndergroundFantasy responds:

Hey thx for the review... yea i had no idea what to add or take away from this song. Its a good start (really good start) just i went completely blank =P. But yea thx ill try out the kicks n' snare.

hm okk

very ambient jam...no direction really, but when I read the full title it kind of helped. Any way I would recommend smoothing out some of these sounds, making it a little more eerie sounding. Not the best, but def not bad.

6/10
5/5 yeah I gave it a five cus someone zero bombed the shit out of it

darko4ever responds:

Thanks for the review, basically your right about no direction. However a huge learning curve for me. I was thinking of adding more layers too late now I'm working on the main theme of the game.
I'll put more work into that maybe get some help.

AH FUCK!

Robo's theme was the best. I absolutely love this song so much! Fantastic job yet again my friend! As long as you keep making Chrono covers as beast as this I will always listen.

djshadows responds:

Anytime keep them requests comin, I'm Lazy if you don't I'll start slackin again!!
Thanks for the great review maybe someday I'll be good enough to do this pro for Capcom or Squaresoft keep your fingers crossed.

Nice

Never played this game, but the song is pretty damn tight. Good work yet again!

djshadows responds:

Thanks man, You all need to check out this guy's work!! He kicks my ass in music, not very hard to do but you know what I'm sayin. :)

eh...

this is what I can tell you:
try to not only use one synth and try to make sure all your notes are in the same key...it was fine in the beginning but towards the end I'm pretty sure it didn't even follow a scale at all. But yeah try layer synths over another, use a pad type to fill space and keep the song from sounding hollow. Experiment around layer multiple synths and you'll get it. Anyway good try but needs some work, but that just means you can only get better. Keep at it!

SessileNomad responds:

yeah like 20 mins after i sumitted it i was thinking "damn i should have used some more diversity in there"

you obvioisly more informed on how to make this music, ill try to find pads(whatever those are), and ill layer my synths a little more

thanks very much

Awesome

Very chill, very chill.
But, yeah I liked this a lot. The pizzicato violin sounds were really nice as well as the other instruments used in this jam. The drums gave in a hip hop feel but the music was way ambient so dunno what I would call this either but all in all its great.

Hypothyptica responds:

Thank you for your review, you were my first! :D
