Great Job!
You reviewed me so it's only courtesy I check you out. Your style reminds me alot of myself. Not that we have a similar style, but we make songs that appease ourselves. I will say the end is messy and is does not conclude the song, but I'm guilty of that alot too. Mixing wise, it is very good. I'm sure there are things you could tweak to get better sounds, but I'm not that kind of douche that is going to go that far. I think its a pretty chill song. The only thing I would suggest is remove the snare hits and ride cymbal from the intro. Maybe, just use the instrumentals and then drop the song into the heavy bass. That's just my idea.
Ya, I know the ride cymbal in the beginning got kind of annoying. The reason I put a delay on it is because I had the crash cymbals on the same track, and I wanted them to sound bigger. Although I admit thinking back on that, it was really just lazy to not put them on their own track. lol. But thanks for the review, and I'll be sure to check out all of your stuff. :D
Not a bad take...
However, I feel as if this does not truly capture the glory of Ice Cap Zone. It's Sonic on a snowboard. I have memories of starting this level as Sonic rides down the hill and the song just gave me chills. This is great, but it's lacking the shear energy of the original.
I know I know. This is just something everyone was dying for me to remake. It doesn't hurt to try, and thanks much for the comment. I'll see if I can add to it
Brahstep much!?
Holy shit I have to let some people hear this. They will shit bricks. The drop made my asshole pucker.
Awesome tune!
It's quite simple, yet I can feel the emotion in this. This is a great track to sit back to and enjoy. I do have one critique, however. There is a single note in the main melody track that is not in key. It is obvious that this is intended; however, I feel if that single note were made into a minor or major pitch, as opposed to the augmented pitch it seems to be in, it would benefit the song as a whole.
Anywho, great fucking song. Real chill. I likes!
listen to it like 3 more times, and the off pitch part will seem to dissapear. it blends well despite being off key.
Why write anything at all, if you're just going to bitch that this is labeled in the wrong genre. I'm sure if there was an option for the artist to properly label this, he would.
Okay so I'm a douchebag
I'm going to be the only asshole to give you constructive criticism thus far. By the way, 1:26 hit and I started jamming; however, the high pitched bass line used after the drop, and for the better half of the song, requires more bass IMO. This is awesome possum stuffs right here, but I just feel that a true dubstep song should violate my ears with bass. In this case, they kinda hurt because there was too much treb. Perhaps tone down on the treble or resonance: whatever is giving the bass that dog-whistle sound that is just setting me off. Or maybe I'm just an asshole.
Anyway this is pretty boss and I hope you understand I'm just trying to say that, but also give me more fucking bass.
Thanks.
Oh mah godz!!!
Dupsteb is mah favoritz!
But in all seriousness, the kid is right--this is a bit too repetitive. Quality wise and effort wise, this is great; however, perhaps use more breaks like the outro part you used at 4:25 to separate sections of the song.
whew buddy...
So far, this sounds promising. Perhaps an epic once finished. Just please make it explode after the 3:30 mark or so. Then I could so throw this on full blast and have a rave in my living room.
