Personally, with my tastes in hardstyle, I like a more punchy kick, but this still works. The problems I have are with the cymbals and the fact that there is not too much variation from the original piece other than the fact that every snare, hat, and kick hit a four on the floor. The cymbals seem a little tinny, the there is too much high gain or perhaps upping the low channel in a filter would help...i dunno. Ok this is good, but...
I feel like up to 2:06 you have a really epic intro if you shortened it a bit, but when the Round and Round tune comes in, it doesn't live up to what this intro could usher in. It all sounds a bit too hollow after that. Personally, I would like to here this take off with a big synth and big beat...but that's just me. However, this is still pretty nice regardless soo...

Uh dirty fucking beat...
Sick ass dirty fucking beat as I've said, my only problems with it are the beginning feels a little too choppy for my tastes and that the higher end synth's pitch could go a little down for my tastes, but overall this is an expertly made beat. The end is so fucking pimp btw.

I give you a 10 for a beastly work in progress. Very nice levels and infectious melody. My only two suggestions would be to bring in the drums full force after the initial break at 51 seconds and to up the volume on the high hat just a smidge. Other than that you have a really nice idea here. Excited to hear the final.

Duude! where are the drums, I can barely hear them. The synths are great and I love this though there is the occasional buzz from the sound peaking, but that's an easy fix. Just add some big booming drums!

This has a nice old school, melancholy hip hop feel, but you kept it modern at the same time. The intro kinda reminds me of Europe lol, but that's kinda cool too. But like the user below me said, great chord progression! I really like the guitar too, the intro to it could be a little more interesting, but once you get a real guitar in there I'm sure it'll take off. Other than that just work on the levels here, specifically the kick and the guitar as the kick is rapage and the guitar is very underpowered. But great job composing this, let me know when you finish this.

Certainly will! Thanks for the review, very helpful. I'm sure the guitar level will be fixed once I get a real guitar, but I'll have to make sure the sound is still powerful. Last time I recorded guitar, I forgot to have a preamp mic and a line in so the sound would be more full.
