It was fun for a little bit; however, it becomes really really repetitive. I also have to agree with others that this game is so easy to exploit. With max resistance and evasion and half power, paired with knife throw, the final boss did a whopping 2 damage to me the entire round. I think he only was able to take a little over 10 turns. Mechanics are definitely lacking.
I gave it a two, just so it wasn't blammed. However, I beat the game in like 30 seconds. Also, the first level is like 10 times harder than the rest of the game. There is little to do with collision detection. In fact, I actually tried to all into the gaps and the game just let me roll right over it. Good attempt for a first time, but please put some time into testing the game first.
Want to point out a bug.
I've been hooked on this game for the past few days. Overall, this is a fantastic piece of work and it's awesome to see your dedication through consistent updates. I just want to point out one issue: casting dispell harms my party. It seems as if the spell is dispelling my stat boosts from my armor. If I cast mass dispell a few times, I can actually wipe out my whole party. Almost lost to the Wolfking because of this. That and his bitch ass windshear. Anyway, as far as I can tell, an update to fix this dispell glitch would make this flawless.
Awesome concept and solid gameplay
But dont play Cam 21 if you have epilepsy.
You know what...
I liked it. I can understand why some people may get "bored" quickly or simply think this is too "artsy." But in reality, this is simple the story of a beta with a mind of its own. I love the idea of the code questioning the tester "What will happen to me?" When I saw that I finally understood. There's no deep crazy ass ambiguous meaning (and if there is please correct me). This game is about a game before it became a game. It was awesome.
Fun for a few songs.
Just wanted to point out that on parts with alternating headbang patterns, like up down or left and right, one can simply hold down the two keys continuously and receive the points without it ending the multiplier.
Yes but you don't get much points, you get more when the key is centered in the middle!
Thanks for reviewing :)
While this is not an exact replication of Mr. Space, it's pretty much the same game. Personally, I'd rather play the game on the Ipod/Ipad as it is more fluid. That being said, both games also get direly boring in a few minutes. Try to come up with something more original next time, and if you are going to mimic a game, please make sure it's a good one.
I see you took a lot of hints from Max Brooks' Zombie Survival Guide.
This was surprisingly really fun. The only thing I could suggest would be to make an effing sequel! And include more upgrades and generally make the game longer! Love the South Park reference too!
In my opinion, the story in this was a bit lacking. It felt a bit too cliche and the ending was a bit too close to Shadow of the Colossus. Yes I know this is a tribute, but I the ending honestly did not do it for me.
As far as game play goes, this game is a solid A. Fantastic adaptation of Shadow of the Colossus. It was very fun to play and I found the third monster quite difficult. However, I do have to agree with others that the jumping is a bit buggy. But, besides that the gameplay was very enjoyable.
The music for the menu, first, and third monster were fantastic, but the music for the cut scenes did not fit. Also, the music for the 2nd monster reminded me of Pokemon, or even Runescape for that matter. It just didn't fit compared to the rest of the tunes.
Anyway, despite the obvious jumping flaws this was a solid and fun game. A bit quick I might add, but fun none the less.
